Laura Durkay grew up walking the mean streets of Baltimore, which she did often since she didn't have a car. She moved to New York in 2000 in search of adventure, independence and decent public transportation. Plus she was attending Columbia University, so that worked out nicely. While at Columbia she became a socialist, which gave her the opportunity to protest in such places as Miami, Quebec City, and Ft. Benning, Georgia. Unfortuantely it did not lead to her becoming independently wealthy, so she was forced to find a day job upon graduation.
She joined Women Aren't Funny because she thought Kitzie was really cute... oh, and the writing and performing political sketch comedy and stuff. She currently works for capitalists during the day and plots to overthrow them at night.
